For admissions purposes, university is considered a higher level of education than college. Therefore, if you are currently enrolled in college but you have attended university in the past, you would choose "university." If you are unsure of which category you would choose, please contact

I am an Ontario Secondary School student
I am a High School student outside of Ontario
I am a Secondary School graduate who has never attended University or College OR I am a Mature Student
I am a College/Diploma student or graduate
I am currently a McMaster University student

I am a Midwife or have have Midwifery education from outside of Canada
I am a University graduate

Enrolment in the Midwifery Education Program is limited. Admission into the Midwifery Education Program is by selection and reserved for candidates who meet all requirements and who satisfy the academic regulations of the university. Possession of the minimum requirements does not guarantee an offer of admission. It is recommended that applicants have completed at least one year of university prior to applying. The deadline for applications and all official transcripts is February 1 each year for the following September intake. Documents received after February 1 will not be considered. Please note that all required courses must be completed, with final grades available on any and all official transcripts at the time of application (excluding current Secondary School students). All official transcripts must be submitted. All documents submitted with the application become property of the university The Midwifery Education Program is a collaborative venture shared by McMaster, Laurentian and Ryerson Universities.
